They mayor’s pointed to the 1994 and 2011 playoff riots in explaining the city has to be responsible. One person’s recovering from injuries after a car smashed through the front window of a downtown Vancouver dental office. The crash happened during the noon hour at Wall Centre Dental on Hornby Street. Police had no early comment on why it happened.
Two RCMP motorcycles have crashed in a Thursday afternoon collision in Surrey. The two Mounties with the BC Highway Patrol were slightly injured after a crash with a car during riding practice on 152 Street and 88 Avenue. There’s no early word on why it happened.
Delays continue in the construction of a large LNG plant in Howe Sound after Squamish Council put off a vote on whether to approve a floating worker accommodation. Woodfibre LNG needs council approval in order to begin work. The plant would convert natural gas from FortisBC into liquid natural gas to be shipped to overseas markets.
