Breaking news: Both North Fraser and Mission fire crews attended a large fire in a shop late Thursday night at a property just east of Mission. An ambulance was called to stand-by but there were no immediate reports of injuries. Investigators will be checking to see if the fire might be related to a marijuana grow-op.
There will be a major expansion to Vancouver’s Ronald McDonald House. A new 14-storey building will nearly double the capacity for sick children and their families who need an affordable place to stay during critical treatments for kids. About 2,000 families stay at the existing 73-suite facility on Heather Street each year.
