Summary
Three people, including two officers, have been injured in a crash involving an Abbotsford Police SUV and a car. The car’s driver suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to hospital - the officers’ injuries are less serious. The crash happened late Thursday afternoon near King and Gladwin roads. The Independent Investigations Office has been called-in as per protocol.

A pro-police lobbyist is one of two Vancouver City council candidates who will run under Mayor Ken Sim’s ABC banner in the upcoming byelection. Vancouver Police Union President Ralph Kaisers will run along side failed BC United candidate Jamie Stein. The two say public safety will be their top priority.
It’s happened again and involves a company that’s had previous overpass hits in the Lower Mainland. The Transportation Ministry confirms a company’s fleet has been grounded after one of its trucks struck the CP Rail overpass at Glover road and Highway One in Langley Thursday morning. Structural damage is minimal. The suspension could last several weeks while the driver’s actions are investigated.
Correctional officers have seized close to $150 thousand in contraband at the Mountain Institution in Agassiz. The items include cell phones, charging cables, meth and cannabis oil. There’s no word on how the stuff is getting into the medium security prison.
