Summary
Many people knew of Harald Hasselbach through his time with the Denver Broncos. He was a two-time Super Bowl champ with a large following back here in the Lower Mainland, where he spent most of his teens. I remember Harald as a nice kid…my partner in Grade 8 drama class at Tsawwassen Junior Secondary. Funny. Kind. A bit shy. I’m sad to learn that Harald passed away Thursday at his home in Colorado. He was surrounded by family and loved-ones. He had been battling stage-4 cancer for six months. Harald Hasselbach was only 56.

Abrosimo served 18 years for sexual assault, kidnapping, unlawful confinement, assault with a weapon and forcible confinement. In 2004, he abducted an 11-year-old girl and assaulted her in his van. Mayor Locke says it’s outrageous that Abrosimo is living in her community - a place with more children per capita than anywhere else in the province.
