Summary
Premier David Eby promises B.C. will get rid of its carbon tax…but only if the feds remove their requirement. Eby now says the context has changed with many British Columbians struggling with affordability. BC Conservative leader John Rustad calls the new position - which came out of remarks in an unrelated news conference - a flip-flop on the part of the premier.

Two men are recovering from stab wounds after a fight in Surrey’s Newton neighbourhood. RCMP say the suspects took off after police and paramedics arrived near 60 Ave and 130A Street late Wednesday afternoon. The stabbing is believed to have followed a planned ‘transaction’ between the victims and suspects.
Harbour Air is getting rid of some of its scheduled flights between the Lower Mainland and the Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island.
