Summary
A White Rock man has now been charged in the two brutal attacks near Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre early Wednesday morning. Brendan Colin McBride, 32, is charged with a single count of second degree murder and another count of aggravated assault. A man died in the first knife attack - a second had his hand slashed moments later. Vancouver Police used a drone in tracking down and arresting a suspect a few hours later.

A man has now been charged with murder in the death of his partner at a Seabird Island residence in the Upper Fraser Valley. When police arrived at a home back in April, they found 33-year-old Vanessa Terry dead. The 36-year-old man is charged with second degree murder.
Three Metro Vancouver HandyDART depots were behind picket lines Thursday including the large one near 176th and Highway 10 in Cloverdale. The Amalgamated Transit Union (Local 1724) members are seeking wage parity with other public transit drivers. HandyDART provides door-to-door service for those with disabilities.
Peace River North’s Dan Davies is the third former BC United MLA deciding to run as an independent and not join the BC Conservatives. Davies says he’s a conservative…but a progressive one. He joins MLAS from Peace River South and Kootenay-Rockies in shunning John Rustad’s Conservatives.
