Summary
The Conservatives have narrowed the gap as the Liberal lead dips for the first time in this Canadian election campaign. An Ipsos poll for Global News shows the Liberals still ahead with 42 per cent of decided voters - a drop of four points. The Conservatives are up by two points to 36 per cent. The French leaders’ debate is Wednesday while the English debate is Thursday. The campaign has now passed the halfway mark.

A suspect has now been arrested in a deadly hit-and-run in Surrey that claimed the life of a six-year-old girl. Two other children were hurt after being hit at the intersection of 164 Street and 108 Avenue Sunday afternoon. The driver of the pickup hit another vehicle before being arrested nearby. That driver remains in custody.
A non-verbal, six-year-old boy has been found - safe - after a massive weekend search in Surrey. He went missing while on a walk with his dad near Northview Park on Saturday evening. That prompted a search by dozens of volunteers, police and Search and Rescue members. The boy was located late Sunday morning.
Retiring Vancouver Police Chief Adam Palmer was the highest paid city employee last year, earning close to half-a-million dollars. The Vancouver Sun reports Palmer made $487, 224. That’s almost 100,000 more than the city manager and 180,000 more than Fire Chief Karen Fry.
