Summary
Could this be the week that B.C.’s wildfire situation gets a whole lot better? The wind has now pushed that massive 20-thousand hectare fire away from Tumbler Ridge. Cooler temperatures and some rain have also helped which is great news for evacuees from the community. And on Vancouver Island, the Cameron Bluffs wildfire is still growing a bit but moving upslope and away from Highway 4 - the main route into Port Alberni. The weather forecasts around B.C. remain better for hopeful crews who have been battling tough conditions over the past couple weeks.
