Summary
Weather warnings remain posted as heavy rain and strong winds continue to hit the B.C. south coast. Wind and snow warnings are also up for mountain passes heading in and out of the Lower Mainland. Extra BC Hydro crews and contractors have been called-in in anticipation of power outages. The storm conditions are expected to end by Monday afternoon.

Crews continues to watch the hillside next to a section of I-5 in Bellingham after a landslide brought traffic to a halt on Sunday. Mud and debris from the hill spilled across the northbound lanes of the interstate, following heavy rain. A few vehicles were caught in the mess but no one was hurt.
Searchers have spent the past few days trying to find a missing Aldergrove woman, believed to be somewhere along the east side of Harrison Lake. Kent-Harrison Search and Rescue has been trying to find Jane Whitehouse. The 82-year-old was reported missing Oct. 25. Her car was found abandoned along the Harrison-East FSR two days later. The search effort has involved teams from across the Lower Mainland, scouring the area on the ground and from the air.
Hundreds of people waited in line at Richmond’s Aberdeen Centre as the Royal Canadian Mint released new limited edition Canadian coins at face value. The event was held at a Canada Post outlet inside one of the mall’s stores. Both coins feature King Charles III on one side.
