David Eby and the BC NDP appear all-but-certain to form that minority government - election night results from a week ago are holding after weekend recounts. The NDP has increased its lead in some close races but no seats have flipped. Only a small number of absentee ballots are left to be counted before Elections BC confirms its final result.

A transit bus has struck and killed a pedestrian in Surrey. It happened in the 7600 block of 128 Street on Sunday afternoon. A stretch of 128 Street was closed for several hours on Sunday as traffic analysts investigated the cause.
Three people are seriously injured in a stabbing at New Westminster’s Starlight Casino. It happened shortly after midnight Saturday morning at the restaurant inside the casino. Police say a fight broke out between two groups of people. One person has been arrested.
A 56-year-old is expected to be okay after being stabbed outside a coffee shop at Keefer and Main on the Downtown Eastside late Sunday morning. Police think the victim and suspect know each other and there’s no risk to the public. No arrests have been made.
