One person is dead, four others are injured, after a Saturday afternoon rollover crash on the Coquihalla Highway, south of Merritt. It happened just before 4:00 p.m. Speed is believed to be a factor.

Investigators are trying to figure out the cause of a deadly crash involving a pickup and a bus stop in Surrey. RCMP say the pickup hit a bus bench near 144 Street and Hyland Drive at around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. One person was killed, another suffered a broken leg. It’s believed the pickup crossed into oncoming traffic just before the crash.
The Viva Mexico restaurant in downtown Langley has been destroyed by a Saturday morning fire. Several other businesses are badly damaged. No one was injured and the fire is believed to have been electrical. Fraser Highway was closed for several hours.
A sad note in the world of broadcasting - Vancouver radio icon Doc Harris has passed away. Harris - who was heard over the years on CKLG, CFMI, CKNW and C-ISL - passed away Saturday at Vancouver General Hospital following a short illness. He was 76.
