Vancouver Rundown Thursday April 4, 2024
Summary
No arrests have been made in the death of a woman whose body was found near her home north of Vancouver’s Fraserview Golf Course Wednesday morning. Investigators think the 49-year-old’s killing was a targeted attack. Police are not telling the public anything else but still want the public’s help in tracking down suspects.
Other news…
Get ready to pay even more at the gas pumps. Experts with links to the industry say a litre of gas in Metro Vancouver could cost $2.18 by Friday. And once again…the blame is being placed on a switch to summer blends at the refineries.
One person has been killed in a fiery crash in Delta during Wednesday morning’s rush. The BC Highway patrol says a car crashed into a lamppost while traveling north at the Highway 17 offramp to Highway 99. The driver died at the scene.
Too young. Too Fast. Charges have now been laid against a 13-year-old in connection with the crash of a Lamborghini Huracan in West Vancouver. It happened on Monday last week on Highway One at around 11:00 p.m. The young teen has been charged with several offences under the Motor Vehicle Act.
Thursday will have sun and clouds. Friday will be mostly sunny with highs around 14C. Here are the latest conditions from our private weather station in Surrey.
