The Village of Pemberton has now issued an evacuation order for some properties in low lying areas. Many others remain on evacuation alert. The evacuation zone includes the search and rescue base, airport, an animal shelter and even the sewage treatment plant. People have been asked to evacuate toward the Sea-to-Sky Highway as water continues to rise in area streams and rivers.
