Summary
A convicted killer has pleaded guilty to a second deadly attack - this one at a motel in Langley’s Walnut Grove neighbourhood. Justin Bos has entered the plea for a lesser manslaughter charge in the killing of Cody Mostat in March of 2022. Mostat could not be revived after being found outside the Highway Hotel on 88 Avenue. In November, Bos was convicted of manslaughter in the shooting death of a man in Surrey in that same year. Bos also has a criminal record that includes drug, firearms and stolen property convictions.

Hong Kong Airlines is restarting direct flights to Vancouver. The announcement is part of the airline’s new concentration on the North American market. Hong Kong Airlines gave up its long haul flights to YVR in early 2020 - three years after they started.
The Royal Canadian Legion branch in Cloverdale is on the edge of collapse. It’s been placed under trusteeship with the BC/Yukon Command noting the branch’s executive’s been plagued by internal infighting. The Command has temporarily taken over control of the branch and hopes to return it to the membership.
British Columbians will have a new box to check on their tax returns - this one asking if they want more information on how to donate organs. Those who select yes will get emails from BC Transplant. Close to 500 British Columbians got organ transplants last year.
