Summary
A wildfire north of Lytton has now grown to at least 100 hectares. Several small evacuation alerts remain in place as the Izman Creek wildfire burns out-of-control. The fire is burning on Lytton’s opposite side of the Thompson River, near small farms and reserves. Thunderstorms remain in the forecast for many parts of the B.C. Interior.

The search continues for a young man who was last seen with family members near a Squamish hiking area. Alex Nguyen, 20, was wearing flip flops when he went missing near Shannon Falls Tuesday afternoon. Those with any information are encouraged to contact RCMP.
Homicide investigators now say a murder-suicide is the motive behind the deaths of a couple in Abbotsford. Police found the bodies of two people in their 80s in a home on McKeen Road Monday evening - the incident was initially described as the result of a violent dispute. Police describe the deaths as a tragic shock to the community.
The BC Green Party now has a candidate for leadership. Comox Councillor Jonathan Kerr has put his name forward and plans to start campaigning next week. The Green’s two current MLAs are not running for the leadership. Kerr has been a family doctor for the past 17 years.
