Summary
Alice Lake Provincial Park is being evacuated as a wildfire just north of Squamish continues to grow. The Dryden Creek wildfire near Brackendale has reached 54 hectares prompting crews to clear out the park. Several air tankers have been called in as the fire burns dangerously close to some homes. It’s hoped cooler temperatures will help those trying to contain the fire.

Breaking News: One person’s been shot dead near a commercial building across the street from Surrey’s Fleetwood Community Centre. It happened late Wednesday afternoon - no arrests have been made.
Two elderly residents have been rescued by police officers after a targeted house fire in Surrey Wednesday morning. Investigators are now looking for those in two cars who drove away from the home, near 134 Street and 64 Avenue, after the fire started. Eight residents have been treated for minor smoke inhalation. While Surrey Police say the home had been targeted, they claim it’s not related to recent extortion attempts in the South Asian community.
Cloudy with the chance of showers Thursday. A mix of sun and cloud Friday. Sunny Saturday. Here are the latest conditions from our private weather station in Surrey.
