Summary

Breaking: RCMP have not yet confirmed whether it was one of the two people injured in a crash, just before noon on the Coquihalla Highway (Zopkios offramp), who died in a police-involved shooting inside Hope’s Fraser Canyon Hospital. Details are still being sorted out but the Mounties responded to a fight in the hospital’s ER - an officer apparently became involved in an altercation with a man before firing a service revolver. That incident prompted a closure of the ER. The Independent Investigations Office is now looking into the circumstances.
