Summary

This year’s first heatwave is expected to sent in toward the end of the week and last until at least Tuesday. Temps could be in the mid-30s in parts of the Fraser Valley this weekend. That means there are advisories already posted for those who are at risk for health complications during the heat. Meanwhile, there are still concerns the warm weather could have an impact on snow melt for a number of B.C. streams and rivers including those that flow into the Fraser.
