Summary
Justin Trudeau won’t say whether Canada will designate the Islamic Republic of Iran a terrorist organization. That question was put to the Prime Minister by Global News which claims its investigation has found the IRGC has been threatening the lives of Iranian Canadians living here in Canada. At an appearance in Maple Ridge, PMJT would only say Canada continues to watch and do everything it responsibly can to [check or monitor] the impact of the IRGC. The group is credited with shooting down Ukraine Airlines flight 752 over Tehran in 2020, killing all onboard including 55 Canadian citizens.

The provincial government has announced a program that will prove up to $10 thousand for organizations hit by hate crimes. The money would be used for things like security and graffiti removal. Community centres and places of worship will likely be the ones applying for help from the Anti-Hate Community Support Fund.
More higher density housing is a great idea - except, as it turns out, in Vancouver’s Shaughnessy. The mayor and ABC majority on council have decided against the idea even though there is very little rental housing in the tony neighbourhood. Councillor Christine Boyle, who along with two Green members of council voted for the motion, says when it comes to housing affordability, the ABC majority doesn’t want it next to millionaires. She says the decision flies in the face of Vancouver’s new rules.
Don’t eat Malachita brand cantaloupes. The B.C. Centre for Disease Control says they’re being recalled due to a Salmonella concern. Eight people in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island have become sick. Those with cantaloupes, purchased over the past month, are advised to throw them away.
