Vancouver Rundown Thursday October 17, 2024
Summary
Close to half a million voters have already cast ballots in advance voting in the B.C. election. That’s a stunning 17 per cent of voters - an extremely high turn out. Still, some experts warn little can be read into election outcomes noting many people are simply taking advantage of new technology and convenience. Advance voting has increased every provincial election in the past 20 years.

In an Op-Ed in The Vancouver Sun, the lululemon founder argues David Eby’s party is killing ‘incentive’ and making voters dependent on handouts. Wilson says the New Democrats dole out tax payer money to voters who want someone else’s money…today.
Weather alerts have been issued for Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley ahead of an incoming atmospheric river. Thursday will have a mix of sun, clouds and showers.
