Summary
A driver’s been hurt after being shot by a suspect with a BB gun. Vancouver Police say it happened while the driver of a car-share vehicle was near West 4th and Balaclava in the Kitsilano neighbourhood early Tuesday evening. The driver was treated at the scene and taken home by family members.

There’s a promise - your time in the security line at Vancouver International will be shorter. New 3D x-ray machines are being introduced in a move the Canadian Air Transport Security Association says will make things easier. The new machines are similar to ones used for medical scans and are expected to enhance security.
A Cayman Islands registered crypto currency trading platform has fined $500,000 by the BC Securities Commission. It’s also banned from advertising in B.C. The unauthorized trading platform operated under the name Latoken. The ruling comes after a panel investigated a complaint the platform was able to operate on customer computers using an IP address in B.C. The BCSC admits there’s no evidence of any B.C. customers being duped and concedes there are likely very few users in the province.
The Lower Mainland’s last drive-in movie theatre is seeing an increase in visits as it prepares to shutdown…for good. The last show at Aldergrove’s Twilight Theatre will be September 30. That theatre has been in operation for 19 years…replacing the old Hillcrest Drive-in in Surrey.
