A high rise residential rental tower is being proposed for an area of South Granville near West 11 Avenue in Vancouver. The 160 unit building is part of the push to get more rental homes near future SkyTrain stations. Only 20 per cent of the residential floor space will be for so-called below-market rental housing.
A woman has now been arrested after three people were assaulted in Downtown Vancouver on Sunday. Witnesses called police to say a woman was randomly assaulting strangers near Georgia and Thurlow streets. One of the victims included a mother with a child. A 32-year-old woman remains in custody.
