Summary
Emergency evacuations were issued Monday after the Chilcotin River breached its slide. Water started to flow over the top and through the blockage near Farwell Canyon, southwest of Williams Lake. Evacuation orders are in place for some people downstream. Alerts remain posted all the way down the Fraser River to Hope.

One of the communities downstream from the Chilcotin River blockage temporarily closed its emergency room on Monday. The ER at Lillooet Hospital was the latest to face a closure due to a lack of staff. Patients have been redirected to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops - more than two hours away.
Crews are continuing to monitor the spot on the Sea-to-Sky Highway were a grassfire broke out Sunday night. It was caused by a vehicle fire - no one was hurt. Crews remain more than a tad worried about human-caused-fires with the dry conditions around the province.
Anti-Israel protesters managed to cut the Vancouver Pride Parade a bit short on Sunday. A group of masked protesters blocked the route near Burrard and Pacific - about midway through the route. Pride organizers talked with the protesters but failed to get them to leave.
