A 14-year-old Surrey boy is recovering in hospital after a hit-and-run in the Whalley area Sunday night. Surrey Police say it happened just after 10:00 between Holland Park and Central City Mall. The driver was arrested for impaired driving and failing to remain at the scene of a crash, several hours later. The incident happened as the B.C. Halal Food Festival was wrapping up in Holland Park.
