Summary
More talk of droughts and wildfires! The B.C. government is warning of an earlier start to the province’s forest fire season and somehow predicts a warmer and drier than usual summer. Without mentioning many details, the government says it has ‘enhanced wildfire preparedness and support’ for those displaced by last year’s wildfires. It also says it’s increasing Emergency Support Services staff, streamlining training and incorporating advanced tech ahead of this year’s fire season.
