Summary
B.C. will be sending some cancer patients south of the border for radiation therapy. Health Minister Adrian Dix says up to 50 patients a week will be sent to one of two American hospitals, including St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham. Dix says it’s because of a growing backlog, aging population and lack of medical staff in our province. He didn’t explain why that isn’t a problem south of the border.
