Summary
We’re starting to learn a little more about the strange case of a tractor, involved in a one person protest this past weekend, that flipped over at the 176 Street and Highway One interchange. It turns out the driver was flying a banner in protest of the SOGI 123 provincial education resource for sexual orientation and gender identification. The rider of the tractor remains in the hospital, being treated for injuries sustained when his machine collided with an RCMP cruiser. Police claim they tried to pull over the tractor for an extended period of time. The IIO is investigating whether police actions were appropriate in this slow speed pursuit.
