Adrian Dix is no longer B.C.’s Health Minister. That’s the most notable of many moves in a huge cabinet shuffle by Premier David Eby. Dix is now the Minister of Energy and Climate. Former Tofino Mayor Josie Osborne has been appointed the new Health Minister. The new cabinet includes 23 ministers and four so-called junior ministers.
Two people have been killed in a rollover crash on Highway 99 in South Surrey. It happened shortly after 3:30 Monday morning, resulting in a closure of the north lanes between 16th and 32nd avenues for much of the day. It’s believed the car burst into flames after going off the road.
A man’s dead after a large fight between two groups of people in Surrey’s Whalley neighbourhood. Police were called to a business near 102 Ave and City Park Way at around 10:00 Sunday night. The suspects ran off before any arrests could be made.
Wind advisories remain posted for the South Coast with high gusts expected late Tuesday afternoon and into the evening. Rain will be heavy at times. Wednesday will be windy with showers. More rain is expected on Thursday. Here are the latest conditions from our private weather station in Surrey.
