Delta North candidate Amrit Pal Singh Dhot has suspended his campaign to endorse New Democrat incumbent Ravi Khalon. Dhot’s status, along with that of many other BC United candidates, has been in question after leader Kevin Falcon withdrew and offered his endorsement of BC Conservative leader John Rustad.

A man from Langley has died in an apparent drowning at Cultus Lake. RCMP say he entered the lake on Saturday but did not resurface. It happened near the Entrance Bay campground. Divers recovered his body on Sunday.
Two workers are recovering from their injuries after an incident involving a construction crane in Victoria over the weekend. Police, fire crews and paramedics rushed to the site in Victoria’s Chinatown late Saturday morning after some people heard a loud bang. WorkSafe BC is trying to figure out the circumstances.
A sad note from the world of entertainment. Distinguished actor and voice of Darth Vader, James Earl Jones, has died. His reps confirmed the one-time imaging voice of CNN passed away at his home in Dutchess County, New York Monday morning. Jones was 93.
