Vancouver Rundown Wednesday April 30, 2025
Summary
Prime Minister Mark Carney and U.S. President Donald Trump have had a phone chat and agreed to meet sometime in the near future. That word comes after Carney’s Liberals won a minority government Monday night. Trump’s round of trade tariffs and threat to make Canada the 51st U.S. state have soured relations over the past several months.

Close to 23,000 people are expected to participate from more than 60 different countries.
