Summary
How can this happen and why is our government not apologizing to all British Columbians? While the province embarks on its healthcare recruitment spree, three of its related websites have been hacked. They include: Health Match B.C., The B.C. Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry, and Locums for Rural B.C. The hackers may have obtained access to personal information but the Health Employers Association says there is no indication any of that has been used illegally since the attack. Health Minister Adrian Dix says the cyberattack will not slow the government’s recruitment process.
A half dozen ambulances and other first responders were dispatched to a crash on Lougheed Highway in Maple Ridge that left at least two people very badly hurt. The crash forced a complete closure of Lougheed Highway between Spilsbury and 240th Street early Tuesday evening. So far, RCMP have not released any detailed information.
