Other news…
A Tuesday afternoon collision in front of Lord Byng Secondary, on 16th Avenue in Vancouver’s Point Grey neighbourhood, has left a student in very serious condition. There’s no early word on the circumstances. Support is being offered to students who witnessed the incident.
Construction has been halted at a work site not far from Surrey City Hall after a crane snapped. It happened early Tuesday morning…no one was injured. WorkSafe BC is looking into why it happened.
B.C.’s population growth could be slowing down…at least a bit. While many in the media are making hay of the fact a provincial government forecasts close to 8 million people, that won’t happen for over 20 years. It’s a 44% population growth by 2046. B.C. already has 5.5 million people. The province’s population growth continues to rely on international immigration.
Wednesday will be rainy. More showers are expected for Thursday and Friday. The good news - sunny breaks are in the forecast for the weekend. Here are the latest conditions from our private weather station in Surrey.
