Summary
The province will crack down on B.C. Ferries following all those delays and cancellations over the spring and summer. A new four year contract kicks in next March and will slap the ferry corporation with heavy fines if and when it cancels core service due to mechanical or staffing issues. The province will also spend half-a-billion dollars to help mitigate rising fares.
Breaking news…A worker is dead after being pinned under a frontend loader at Cypress Mountain. The machine overturned late Tuesday afternoon. WorkSafe BC is now investigating.
