Summary
The Surrey RCMP are biting back at a story in Monday’s Washington Post that questions the Mounties’ account of what happened following the shooting death of Sikh activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The RCMP reject any notion that Mounties argued with members of the Surrey Police Service in the hours after Nijjar was gunned down outside the temple on Scott Road. The Post also shared a 90-second video that purports to show at least six suspects in a highly organized attack. The RCMP have said there were two suspects and denounced any suggestion that officers arrived late to the scene. The video was never released by the RCMP or the Integrated Homicide Investigations Team.
