The summary
In the news, B.C. sports hall of famer, longtime Vancouver civic politician, high school teacher and travel agency owner…the titles would go on. George Puil has passed away at the age of 92. While he served in various civic capacities, starting with the Vancouver Park Board back in the 1960s, a newer generation would know Puil for his role as the feisty Chairman of the Greater Vancouver Regional Distric. On a personal note - he was always a great audio clip for radio…smart, honest and to the point. George Puil is survived by his four children and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service is still being arranged.
