In the news, a snowmobiler has died in an avalanche near Panorama. It happed Saturday when two out of a party of three snowmobilers were caught in a snow slide in the the Whirlpool Lake area. This has been an especially dangerous season for those heading into the backcountry due to risky weather conditions.
