Summary

In the news, it’s the story that continues to play out. Multiple objects over Canadian and U.S. airspace - shot down by fighter jets. Still, we don’t have all the answers or even confirmation these objects - possibly some sort of balloons or drones - are in fact from China. Justin Trudeau says teams will continue to work to find and examine the object shot down on Saturday over Yukon.

The safety of Canadians is our number one priority. That’s why I made the decision to shoot down the object. It was a threat to civil aviation and a potential threat to Canadians.

Meanwhile, international experts who follow Asia-Pacific relations say these latest incidents will increase tensions between China and Canada, the United States and other countries.
