Summary

In the news, at least two and possibly three backcountry skiers have been badly hurt in separate avalanches in the Pemberton area. The slides were triggered Saturday afternoon, prompting a call out to Pemberton Search and Rescue. Avalanche Canada issued a warning about the continued dangers of such slides in the B.C. backcountry in what’s turned out to be one of the most deadly seasons in recent memory.
