In the news, it appears Surrey has been caught green handed. The Vancouver Sun reports waste dumped on farmland near Cultus Lake came from Surrey’s household green bins. Neighbours in the Columbia Valley say hundreds of truckloads of green bin waste ended up dumped on a farmer’s field over a six month period last year. The Ministry of Agriculture has told Fraser Valley Renewables it has until April 17th to remove the waste.
