Summary
Myles Gray died by homicide. That’s the finding of a B.C. Coroner’s jury into the beating death of the 33-year-old at the hands of Vancouver Police officers in August of 2015. Homicide is a neutral term and this jury is not responsible for assigning fault or blame. However, several recommendations have been made so that such a beating death never happens again. The jury would also like the VPD to conduct a review of how the situation was handled. Six officers continue to face charges under the Police Act in connection with the failure to take notes.
