The summary

In the news, so this is how it’s going to be. Surrey City Council, under the helm of Mayor Brenda Locke, has voted 5-4 to keep the Mounties as the force of jurisdiction. That means bye-bye Surrey Police Service - unless the NDP government puts a halt to it or muddles the waters even further. So, hiring has stopped. Firing will begin and the process - short term - will be expensive. Speaking of whining, COVID-19 and masking continues to dominate a new round of chatter. DBH now says masking is advisable (in crowded indoor public places) in B.C. but not required. And now it appears there is a public letter campaign to reinstate mask mandates. Careful. Mandates are still a trigger word for many, as my good friend @MikeHanafin points out.
