In the news, Vancouver is growing up and joining cities around the world that allow public drinking in some public spaces. The city has voted to expand its public plaza trial program to allow allow folks to have a drink in areas like a couple spots on Cambie, one on Granville, one on West Hastings and another on Main Street in the Mount Pleasant area. Those will be year-round. On on West 4th in Kits will be spring and summer only.
