In the news, he’s a nasty monarch. King Tide has ruled with an iron fist, coming down hard on low lying areas of the South Coast, including parts of Metro Vancouver. The unusually high tide, combined with heavy rain and snow melt runoff has put many areas under water including parts of Boundary Bay, a portion of Semiahmoo First Nation near White Rock, Mitchell Island off the Knight Street Bridge and even some city streets in Vancouver’s Coal Harbour area. For those hunting for good news - the silver lining in the raining clouds - the strong wind is not expected to make a return over the next few days.
